Will support North Dearborn Community Park
(BRIGHT, Ind.) -- The 13th annual Jack's Forever 3 "Still Running" 5K will take place in Bright on Saturday.
The race was established after 3-year-old Jack Allen Carpenter was struck and killed by a distracted driver on North Dearborn Road in 2010.
The race welcomes both serious runners and families. Kids will enjoy a kids corner with games and a fun run.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Bright Christian Church at it starts at 9 a.m,
This year, the race will support North Dearborn Community Park and also serves as a way to help the Child Advocacy Center as runners can donate story book sets, and toys.
The Jack's Forever 3 Foundation was established to promote driver awareness, after a tragedy as a result of a distracted driver. The Foundation is also dedicated to improving the lives of children in our community.
