JCD grad has successful college debut

Led Eagles to Semi-State earlier this year

(TERRE HAUTE, Ind.) -- Recent Jac-Cen-Del graduate Julia Meyer had a great start to her college basketball career on Friday night.

Meyer is a freshman for Rose-Hulman and the team had their first game of the season with a crosstown matchup against St. Mary's of the Woods.

The former Lady Eagles standout picked up where she left off in high school.

Meyer had 13 points and 5 rebounds in her college debut. She was one of three Rose Hulman players to score double digits.

Her team will be back in action against Millikin in Illinois on Monday.

Meyer was 4-year varsity letter award winner in both basketball and volleyball at Jac-Cen-Del and helped lead the Lady Eagles to a Semi-State this past winter.
