JCD teacher surprised as Ripley Co. Educator of the Year

Mosier teaches math at Jac-Cen-Del High School

(OSGOOD, Ind.) -- A longtime Jac-Cen-Del math teacher was surprised with an award on Friday.

Gail Mosier was named the Ripley County Educator of the Year by the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce.

She was nominated by fellow teacher, Jessica Ricke, who said, "Ive witnessed firsthand how Mrs. Mosier not only goes above and beyond to help students understand complex subjects, but helps to develop a genuine love for the subject."

The school held the surprise in the high school gym on Friday. Mrs. Mosier will also be part of the Pumpkin Show parade on Saturday, September 30.

There will also be a formal recognition during the Ripley County Chamber annual dinner on October 26.

Mosier has taught at Jac-Cen-Del for 27 years.
