Town celebrates native who became Western movie star

(VEVAY, Ind.) -- Vevay is celebrating one of their own with a unique festival this weekend!

Ken Maynard was born in Vevay and was considered one of the biggest Western movie stars between the 1920's-1940's. He is known as Hollywood's first singing cowboy.

The town is hosting the Ken Maynard Cowboy Day on Saturday, July 15 with unique events such as roping, western movies, music and much more.
