(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – This is an update from a story The 812 first reported earlier tonight.
A confirmed armed robbery took place at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg on Saturday night.
It happened around 7:40 p.m. and it led to a massive police presence at the casino.
The suspect fled the casino and went into the oxbow area near the property.
Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry tells The 812 that law enforcement utilized K-9’s as well as drone technology from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect was taken into custody after a manhunt.
Nobody was hurt and it is not believed that any shots were fired during the incident.
There is no active threat at the casino.
The 812 spoke with several casino-goers who frantically exited the casino and found shelter in their car in the parking garage during the incident.
