Public encouraged to attend grand opening ceremony
(LAUREL, Ind.) -- A grand opening ceremony will be held for the Growing Laurel Food Pantry on Saturday, September 9.
The event will also highlight the Growing Laurel community garden and the public is encouraged to attend.
It will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 218 Clay Street in Laurel.
There will be free food and activities for the entire family including a bounce house, snow cones, hotdogs, seed planting, cooking class, cut flower arraignments, corn hole, 4-H fun and more.
The Growing Laurel Food Pantry was created through Franklin County Purdue Extension, Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program, and community volunteers.
