(ST. LEON, Ind.) -- The Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers defeated East Central on Tuesday night.
It marks the second time since 2001 that the Tigers were victorious against the Lady Trojans on the basketball court.
The Lady Tigers won a hard-fought battle by a final score of 37-33.
"We knew going into the game we had a chance to beat East Central. We needed to execute our game plan. It was a great team effort and everyone had to step up. It is always a good day to beat East Central," Lawrenceburg junior Natalie Knigga told The 812.
The Lady Tigers improve to 12-8 and will travel to Triton Central on Friday.
