(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers defeated Rising Sun 54-38 on Thursday but the biggest win came off the basketball court.

It was the annual Hooping For Hope game where players from both teams wore pink warmup uniforms before tipoff.

The game raised approximately $2,800 through raffles and online donations.

A portion of the proceeds went to the IWIN Foundation, which supports Hoosiers who are receiving treatment for breast cancer. The foundation helps relieve emotional, physical and financial burdens.

“The Lady Tigers and their coaches work tirelessly to involve the community in their tremendous fundraising efforts for local patients! A huge shout-out to Coach Jason Redar for taking the lead on this inspirational night that gives hope to so many,” the IWN Foundation said on Facebook.

The $2,800 in fundraising surpassed the team's initial goal of $2,000. You can donate by clicking here.
