Ashton Craig named to national list of best bowl game performers
(SOUTH BEND, Ind.) -- Lawrenceburg native Ashton Craig had a big-time performance during Notre Dame's bowl game last week in Texas.
His individual performance has placed him in rare company, as one of only five offensive lineman in the country named to the Associated Press' all-bowl team.
He joins a list that is comprised of other lineman from Georgia, LSU, Oregon and Kansas State.
Here is what the Associated Press said about Craig:
"In just his third career start, this center helped No. 16 Notre Dame gain 468 total yards in a 40-8 victory over No. 19 Oregon State despite playing without its usual starting quarterback, leading rusher or starting tackles due to opt-outs."
The Lawrenceburg graduate is a sophomore and started his first game for the Irish in November.
