(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- The City of Lawrenceburg is providing a place to cool down due to the heat.
The City has opened the Emergency Cooling Center which is located at the Lawrenceburg Boy Scout Cabin at 461 West High Street.
It will be open through 8 a.m. on Monday, July 31.
"Individuals or families in need will have access to a monitored airconditioned shelter, cots, blankets, water and free wi-fi as a public resource for remote learning or working remotely," said Lawrenceburg's Communication Director Guinevere Banschbach.
Free Wi-Fi is also provided with the username of "LawrenceburgParks" and password of "Acityontherise!"
City officials will re-evaluate the need to continue providing an available the cooling center Monday.
