Lawrenceburg opens cooling center during heat wave 

Opened on Monday afternoon

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The City of Lawrenceburg is offering an Emergency Cooling Center during the heat wave. 


Anyone is welcome to stay at the Lawrenceburg Boy Scout Cabin at 461 West High Street in Lawrenceburg.


It will be open until Sunday, June 30. 


‘Individuals or families in need will have access to a monitored air conditioned shelter, cots, blankets and water,” city officials said. 


City officials will re-evaluate the need to continue providing an the cooling center over the next few weeks.
