Lawrenceburg's Ashton Craig to start for Notre Dame today

Will also lead the team onto the field

(SOUTH BEND, Ind.) -- Lawrenceburg graduate will make his first career start for Notre Dame today.

Ashton Craig will start at center for the Irish when they host Wake Forest at 3:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium.

Craig was also chosen to lead the Irish onto the field. He will be carrying the Shillelagh Trophy, which is awarded each week to a Notre Dame player based on performance.

Craig will have plenty of support as family, friends and former Lawrenceburg teammate Garrett Yoon are in South Bend this weekend.
