Local dispatcher, mayor honored for commitment to public safety

Awards given during IERC conference

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- A Franklin County dispatcher and Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh are being recognized for their commitment to public safety.


Mayor Marsh was named Legislator of the Year during the Indiana Emergency Response Commission (IERC) awards ceremony this weekend.


Tasha Cox of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department was named Dispatcher of the Year.


The sheriff's department said, "Congratulations to our very own Tasha Cox. Setting the standard for all Indiana Dispatchers. How lucky we are to have her!"


The IERC is a three day conference that welcomes law enforcement, firefighters, EMT's and other first responders in Indiana.
