Lutz creates unique float every year
(BRIGHT, Ind.) – The annual Bright Community Parade is one of the largest parades you’ll find in Southeast Indiana and it took place on Saturday.
One local business owner makes it a tradition to come up with a unique float every year.
Dale Lutz owns several businesses including Cornerstone Realty, Lutz Auction and Steer-Rite Farms beef sales.
Lutz decided the parade wouldn’t be complete without a couple celebrities in attendance.
He dressed up as Taylor Swift and his grandson, Jake Lutz, came to the parade as Travis Kelce.
Their float was Taylor Swift-inspired with their slogan reading, “Swift into your new house Era - Call Cornerstone.”
On a positive note, it wasn’t an exclusive Kansas City Chiefs float as there was one boy showing his Bengals support.
Lutz has come up with unique floats at the Bright Parade for the past 33 years. Some past themes have been Beverly Hillbillies, Duck Dynasty, Village People and Forrest Gump.
While Lutz has fun with the parade floats, he doesn’t do it for the attention.
“He always intends to bring attention during the parade to the Bright Area Business Association and businesses in town on parade day,” his daughter, Abby Ruwe said.
Dale is one of the founders of the parade which was created to bring support to the Bright Fire Department following the 1990 tornado.
