Local swimmers compete in multi-cultural meet

Took place this past weekend

(GREENWOOD, Ind.) – Some local swimmers participated in the Central Zone Multi-Cultural Meet at Center Grove High School. 

The event celebrated cultural diversity in coordination with the 2024 USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials.

Local participants were part of Team Indiana and it included Andrew Strotman, Joan Strotman, Sierra Hall, Lilly Datillo, Kingsley Copeland, Alejandra Schutte, Santiago Schutte, Austin McBride, Salvador Schutte and Declan Jenkins. 

They represented schools including Batesville Middle School, East Central, Oldenburg, St. Louis and Madison. 

Team Indiana finished in first place in both the men’s and women’s meets. 

After the competition, the participants received a ticket to the Olympic Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium.
