Served as police officer for more 30 years
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A longtime Ripley County deputy has passed away after a battle with cancer.
Lieutenant Randy Holt served the citizens of Ripley County for more than 30 years as a police officer.
Holt is credited with training hundreds of officers throughout the years.
“He treated everyone with respect and dignity. Randy was a warrior and a saint, and continued to serve until his last breath. His impact on his family, friends, and this community was immeasurable and exceptional,” the sheriff’s office said.
