Owen Stone is a diehard Raider fan
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- When South Ripley volleyball players are on the court there's one young boy you'll find in the stands.
Fourth grader Owen Stone is a diehard Raiders fan and never misses the chance to cheer on the squad which also includes his sister Macy, who is a setter on the team.
His support for the team goes beyond cheering for them during the season.
This summer, he used his artistic talents to draw a portrait of every varsity player on the team.
Coach Lisa Gilpin asked Owen to come a little early to the home match against Switzerland County to take a picture with the team on Monday night.
"He was so excited and even passed out volleyball bracelets to them," Gilpin said. "If you come to any of our games, you will see him cheering in the stands."
Coach Gilpin is displaying the portraits in her office within the high school gym if anyone would like to check out Owen's work.
The Lady Raiders are off to a strong start this season with a 4-1 record. They will host Jac-Cen-Del on Friday.
