Milan golf tournament raises $13K for kids

American Legion's use tournament to buy Christmas presents

(MILAN, Ind.) -- A golf tournament that was held this summer at Kelly's Hidden Acres Golf Course in Milan will help bring Christmas cheer to local children.

The Veterans Fore Kids tournament is made possible by the American Legions of Milan, Versailles and Osgood and it was held in August.

All proceeds help provide Christmas presents to less fortunate children in the area.

The owners of the golf course, Chris and Tara Kelly, presented the check from the tournament at the Milan Legion on Thursday.

This year's tournament raised more than $13,000 total and the amount of $4,414 was dispersed to each American Legion. The legion's will use the funds to buy gifts for children in their respective communities.
