Started in 7th place
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Milan junior Kayla Roell made some history at the Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday night.
Roell became the first female to win a sprint car race since the speedway was reconfigurd in 2008.
The Dillsboro native started in seventh position but raced her way to the winner’s circle in the 410 sprint car series last night.
“Roell’s performance was impressive to say the least, she was clearly the fastest car on the track and showed it working her way through the field,” Lawrenceburg Speedway said on Facebook.
We first met Kayla Roell when she was in middle school a few years ago. Watch some of our previous coverage of her by clicking here!
