MMH recognizes twins born 90 years ago

First set of twins born at the hospital

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- A brother and sister are getting special recognition on their birthday today.

Al Hartman and Dorothy Flaspohler were born on September 26, 1933 at Margaret Mary Health.

They were the first set of twins born at the hospital.

"With a combined 20 children, 64 grandchildren and 50+ great-grandchildren, this adorable duo has created an impressive legacy that will last for generations," the hospital said.

Margaret Mary Health recently announced plans to build a new hospital that will be located next to the Margaret Mary Physician Center and Margaret Mary Outpatient and Cancer Center on State Road 229.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024.
