Murder Mystery Train Ride benefits Laurel Fire Department

Dinner train takes place September 9

(LAUREL, Ind.) -- The Whitewater Valley Railroad is offering a unique dinner train experience that benefits the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.

The train has partnered with the Imagine Performing Arts to present the Murder Mystery Train to Dinner on September 9.

The train departs from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 6:00 pm.

During the scenic round-trip journey to Laurel, characters from the story will engage with passengers, answering questions that may reveal important clues.

Ollie's Family BBQ & Catering from Rushville, Indiana, will serve dinner during the layover in Laurel. Volunteer firefighters open their station and assist with serving the meal.

The dinner includes:

  • Smoked Pork Chops

  • Pulled Pork

  • Mac and Cheese

  • Green Beans

  • Cupcakes

  • Coffee, Tea, Lemonade & Bottled Water

The meal will be served buffet style on high-quality disposable dinnerware. Multiple trips through the buffet line are encouraged after everyone has had their first trip.

Once back at the station, the story will conclude, and the first passenger who correctly deduced the murderer and the motive will receive a small gift and hearty congratulations from Detective Dan.

All seats are $55, including the train ride, meal, taxes, and fees. The Laurel Fire Department will receive a portion of the ticket price to support its operations. Additional donations will be graciously accepted.
