New Trenton FD gets $50K donation from ASG Foundation

Longtime Lawrenceburg charity stops by firehouse

(NEW TRENTON, Ind.) -- The New Trenton Fire Department received a $50,000 donation from a unique local organization Wednesday night.

The ASG Foundation of Lawrenceburg has been a longtime grassroots non-profit that gives back to the community through initiatives that benefit kids, senior citizens and those in need.

They recently received a request from somebody who wanted to give $50,000 to New Trenton firefighters.

However, the anonymous donor could not directly give to the fire department due to New Trenton, like many volunteer fire departments, being organized as a 501c4.

The donor asked ASG to serve as the donator which they gladly accepted.

New Trenton Fire Chief Roger Angelo says the funds will go toward new equipment and more training.
