(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- A South Ripley school bus was involved in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

The crash happened south of Versailles on County Road 200 South.

"Fortunately there was only one student on the bus and there were no injuries," Versailles firefighters said.

The driver of the passenger car suffered only minor injuries, police confirmed.

Departments on scene included Versailles Fire Rescue, Ripley County EMS, Ripley County Sheriff's Office and the Indiana State Police.

Area law enforcement are reminding drivers to use caution as students at many local schools returned to class this week.
