North Branch golfer gets first hole-in-one

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Batesville native Chris Doll has been golfing for thirty years.

The 38-year-old now lives in Greensburg and golfs every week on a team at North Branch Golf Course in New Point. 

Last night, he was on the course known as ‘Bridge’ and lined up a shot on hole 2. 

“I definitely didn’t think it was in when I hit it,” Doll said.

He got a big surprise when he found the ball in the hole. It was a hole-in-one!

Chris says it was a surreal moment that he celebrated with his favorite people.

“I was just glad my brother was there to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity with me,” Doll said. 

Chris, Craig Doll and Jake Hacker are part of a 3-person team that competes in Men’s League at North Branch every Wednesday.
