North Vernon restaurant to hold fundraiser for teen employee killed in crash

One of two Jennings Co. students killed in crash

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Two Jennings County high schoolers were killed in a crash on State Road 7 on Friday afternoon.

16-year-old Kyle Neukam and 15-year-old Randall Gordon lost their lives in the crash near County Road 600 West.

The school system is stepping up for the families and friends of both teens as they will offer counseling services today and Monday.

Neukam was a Jennings County football player and also a kitchen staff employee at the popular Crimson Oak Restaurant & Pub in North Vernon.

Crimson Oak will hold a fundraiser by donating 10 percent of sales to his family on Tuesday, July 2.

We will also have an opportunity for community members to give an additional donation to the family, if they wish,” the restaurant said. “Kyle was a hard worker, kind and funny young man. He will be greatly missed."

The restaurant is located at 51 Madison Avenue in North Vernon and you can get more updates by clicking here.
