Ashton Craig plans to help others in need in future years
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- Lawrenceburg native Ashton Craig is a current offensive lineman for Notre Dame.
He is stepping up to help a local family who experienced a house fire last month.
The inaugural "I-Rish to Give Back" is a fundraiser where you can purchase Notre Dame apparel featuring Ashton's name and number.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Knue family who lost their Lawrenceburg home in a fire in November.
Dakota Knue is a Lawernceburg football coach and Shelby is employed at Lawrenceburg Schools.
"Ashton’s hope is to bring some relief to a very special local football family and he looks forward to helping others in need for years to come," organizers said.

Ashton and his Fighting Irish teammates will compete in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29
