Twisters raise over $3K for teammate's mom
(OLDENBURG, Ind.) -- The Oldenburg Academy volleyball team gives back each year during their annual "Volley For Hope" game.
The Twisters wore pink uniforms during the match against South Dearborn on Thursday.
They collected donations and had a raffle to benefit a teammate's mother.
Michelle Scheidler is currently battling cancer and her daughter is on the volleyball team.
The Twisters raised more than $3,000 for the Sheidler family on Thursday.
Head coach Debbie Gregg started the annual "Volley For Hope" five years ago.
Last season, the team raised funds for a Milan graduate who was hurt in a motorcycle crash.
