Ohio Co. Tourism wins statewide promotional poster contest

Rising Sun Stars & Stripes wins first place!

(RISING SUN, Ind.) -- Ohio County Tourism has been named the Indiana Association of Fairs Grand Champion Class A winners during their 2024 Communication Awards Contest.

The banquet was held Monday and tourism organizations across the state competed in various categories including photos, posters, websites, and other promotional items.

Ohio County won grand champion for their Rising Sun Stars & Stripes Celebration promotional poster.

This was the first time the tourism office participated in the statewide contest. They also entered the promotional poster from the 2023 Rising Sun Summer Fest into the competition, which placed fifth overall.

They competed in the Class A division for counties with a population of 34,999 or less.  

Ohio County Tourism will host the 2024 Rising Sun Summer Fest on Saturday, June 8 and the Rising Sun Stars & Stripes Celebration on Saturday, July 6.
