One aircared after crash near Milan

Drivers of both vehicles have same last name

(MILAN, Ind.) – A woman was aircared after a crash on a county road south of Milan on Wednesday night. 


The accident occurred on County Road 625 East near the intersection of County Road 200 North. 


Ripley County deputies say a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Donald Howington, Jr., of Milan, crashed into the rear of another vehicle.


The second vehicle was driven by 36-year-old Brandy Howington, of Milan. 


Investigators did not say if the two drivers are related to each other. 


27-year-old Samantha Taylor, of Versailles, was a passenger in Brandy’s car. 


Taylor was flown to a Cincinnati hospital for undisclosed injuries. 


Brandy Howington was also rushed to Margare,t Mary Health for her injuries. 


Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. 


The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Milan Police Department, Milan Volunteer Fire, Ripley County EMS, Sunman Rescue 20 EMS and Indiana Stat Flight.
