Osgood boy needs votes to become Mullet Champ

Votes benefit Homes for Wounded Warriors

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – Jac-Cen-Del fifth grader Ryland Reynolds is proud of his mullet and is now hoping it can help wounded veterans.

The 10-year-old is in the running for the national competition called Mullet Champ.

Reynolds began growing out his mullet three years ago and nicknamed it The Swayze.

“We live in a small town and Ryland is known for his mullet everywhere he goes. He loves playing baseball, basketball, soccer and runs track and loves riding his quad,” his mother said.

“When it comes to sports he's not only known for his great athletics but everyone knows him from his mullet far away,” she added.

Voters can select their favorite mullet by giving a donation to Homes for Wounded Warriors, a non-profit that provides housing to injured veterans.
