Passenger train to offer sensory-friendly ride Sept. 20

Whitewater Valley Railroad is based in Connersville

(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – The Whitewater Valley Railroad is offering a train experience for passengers with special needs.

It is called “They Valley Whisper” and will feature a sensory-friendly, 45 minute train ride at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 20.

We will only use the horn and bell in case of an emergency, and the train will travel slowly to minimize rocking motions,” the rail company said.

The ride will operate from the railroad's South Connersville Shop and Yard, where the crew will have the resources to board passengers with physical disabilities.

You can call in advance at (765) 825-2054 to verify if they can accommodate your needs.

Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, or $20 for the whole family. Purchase tickets by clicking here or by phone at (765) 825-2054.

The railroad's South Connersville Shop and Yard is at 300 S Eastern Avenue in Connersville.
