The 812's Bella Monroe visited a stand in Hidden Valley last year:
(DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind.) -- The founder of Payton's Lemonade Stand created the annual event with the goal of helping other kids.
11-year-old Payton Obert had an illness that required her to be hospitalized at Cincinnati Children's Hospital a few years ago.
While in the hospital, she received a teddy bear.
The gift inspired her to start a lemonade stand at her Dent, Ohio home to raise money for toys for sick children.
After the success of her first stand in the summer of 2018, Payton decided she wanted to make it an annual event and inspire other kids to get involved.
This year, there are 70 stands across the Tri-State and as far away as Florida and Texas.
There will be four locations in Southeast Indiana this Saturday. They are located at:
Zelda Jean's in St. Leon. The address is 10121 County Line Drive.
24187 State Line Road in Bright
22945 Redwood Drive in Bright
1378 Brindlestone Drive in Hidden Valley
Payton's Lemonade Stand raised $85,000 last year.
The mission is to improve the lives of children who are facing medical, personal or economic hardships. The non-profit also strives to empower kids to participate in philanthropy.
You can learn more or even register to host a stand next year by visiting Payton's Lemonade Stand.
