Police: Brookville man arrested after he passed out behind the wheel

Police say they found ‘several types of drugs’

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A Brookville man is facing drug charges after police say he was passed out in the middle of the road. 


The incident happened at the intersection of Oxford Pike and Whitcomb Road on Thursday night. 


Franklin County Deputy Alex VanWinkle discovered 39-year-old Elbert Isaacs was found passed out in the vehicle. 


Deputy VanWinkle along with other Sheriff’s Deputies were eventually able to wake Issacs, the department said. 


Police say they found ‘several types of drugs’ as well as a handgun during the investigation. 


Isaacs was booked into the Franklin County Jail on multiple charges related to drug possession.
