Police: Laurel man had meth, guns during search of his house

Deputies were conducting search warrant

(LAUREL, Ind.) — A Laurel man is facing drug charges after deputies showed up at his house with an arrest warrant on Friday night.

Franklin County deputies went to a home in the 13000 block of Little Duck Creek Road as part of a search for 52-year-old Darrin Murray.

Deputies say Murray had an active arrest warrant out of Fayette County.

Police say they found Murray at the home who then allegedly tried to run from the cops.

He was taken into custody inside the home and deputies alleged he had a handgun.

The incident led to a search where police say they found methamphetamine and more guns.

Murray was booked into the Franklin County Security Center on allegations of dealing methamphetamine.
