Updated: Sep 16

Here’s how the public can honor him during procession

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Lieutenant Randy Holt served as a Ripley County Law Enforcement Officer for more than 30 years.

He passed away from a cancer battle last week and the funeral arrangements have been announced.

The visitation will be held at Meyers Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 16.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday also at the funeral home.

The procession will leave the funeral home at approximately 12:30 p.m. and take State Road 129 south.

People who would like to line the procession route are asked to do so by lining up along S.R. 129 anywhere south of Bischoff Road, right past the Batesville fire truck with the American flag.

Police and first responder agencies who would like to be part of the procession are asked to line up north of the flag on the shoulder and instructions will be provided via radio.

After State Road 129, the procession will go along State Road 350 and onto State Road 101. It will pass Milan High School before arriving at Craven Cemetery in Milan.
