Will be held in Aurora
(AURORA, Ind.) -- Opponents of the proposed Link101 project will gather for a rally on Saturday.
The rally will take place from 4-6 p.m. at Gabbard Park in Aurora. Organizers say there will be speakers, food vendors and time for conversation.
The proposed development of the new road would connect State Road 101 between the Markland Dam and US 50.
There have been recent in-person meetings where some residents have voiced opposition to the development of the road in their community.
Right now, there are ten preliminary alternative routes that will go through a preliminary screening process.
Project officials are will analyze budget, impacts and public feedback to determine a single route.
A decision is expected in the fall of 2024.
