Congresswoman praised the high school's unique program
(WESTPORT, Ind.) -- U.S. Congresswoman Erin Houchin is continuing her tour through the 9th District this month.
She stopped by South Decatur High School to get a first-hand look at the state-of-the-art Medical Sciences Center on Tuesday.
Rep. Houchin said, "As a member of Committee on Education & the Workforce committee, it’s inspiring to see this innovative program create opportunities for health careers right out of high school!"
The Medical Sciences Center was unveiled last year and was created to resemble a hospital. It also features a laboratory where students are taught science and biology.
Rep. Houchin also visited with Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh and the Decatur County Memorial Hospital's EMS personnel on Tuesday.
