Retired principal wins big on ‘The Price is Right’

Snyder and friends gathered for a watch party Wednesday

(AURORA, Ind.) – Bill Snyder is a former principal at Lawrenceburg High School and South Ripley and it’s safe to say he’s enjoying retirement.

He and his wife, Michelle, took a vacation to California and attended ‘The Price is Right’ three months ago.

Bill became a contestant on the show and would end up winning approximately $36,000 in prizes that included a fireplace, bedroom suit, electric bikes, and trips to Savannah, Georgia and Fiji.

However, the couple couldn’t tell anyone about the prizes until the show aired on Wednesday morning.

Bill and Michelle invited friends to the Aurora American Legion for a watch party.

The crowd cheered him on throughout the contest as one friend said, “Bill was made for this show!”

Before his days as principal, Snyder also taught at South Dearborn.
