(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A grand opening ceremony took place for two small businesses in downtown Lawrenceburg on Friday.
The ribbon cutting was held for Billie Co. and Lillian’s Holistic Journey. Both businesses are located at 31 E. High Street.
Billie Co. is owned by Kimmy Henry and she first opened the business at a different Lawrenceburg location in 2020.
It is a unique shop that puts an emphasis on sustainability. Nearly all of the clothing at Billie Co. is second-hand and pre-loved.
“There's so many clothes that just end up in the landfill and there's still so much left in them and so we love to give clothing a second life, and they're unique items, you know, and it's something that you're not going to find anywhere else," Henry said.
You will also find several items inside Billie Co. that are locally made. The candles are made in Dillsboro and their honey is made in Aurora.
Their hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday’s and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Henry said she plans to expand her hours during the warm weather months. You can learn more about Billie Co. here.
Lillian’s Holistic Journey is located within Billie Co. and it is owned by Janice Robinson.
Robinson first opened the practice seven years ago in Northern Kentucky.
She provides reflexology, Reiki energy work, sound healing, ionic detox therapy, guided mediation and more.
Robinson says her business focuses on helping people relieve stress and focus on self-care.
“I think the long-term benefits are learning how to breathe with purpose, learning how to relax the mind and find stillness and be okay with yourself, and to find peace with the fact that everything will be okay,” Robinson told The 812.
