Arrested on Sunday

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- A Ripley County man is accused of pretending to be a law enforcement officer.

Investigators say 57-year-old Jason Arnoldy left threatening notes in several mailboxes and on homes.

He allegedly identified himself as a U.S. Marshall of Ripley County Court.

Arnoldy was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of Impersonating A Public Official, Intimidation and Invasion of Privacy.

He is being held without bond at the Ripley County Jail.

If you received a note and have not already reported it to police, call the Ripley County Sheriff's Office at (812) 689-5558.
