Rising Star Casino could be leaving Rising Sun

City official says they were notified

(RISING, Ind.) – Rising Sun’s casino might be relocating to the Fort Wayne area.

The casino is owned by Full House Resorts who is reportedly considering a move to the town of New Haven, Indiana.

Rising Sun Councilwoman Lisa Hewitt-Williams released what she says is an official City of Rising Sun statement. She says city and county officials have both been notified of preliminary plans pertaining to the relocation of the gaming license.

“Because of the complex nature of this process, neither the City nor the County are in a position to offer any comments at this time," the statement read.

WANE15 in Fort Wayne is also reporting the possibility of Rising Star relocating to New Haven.

“Dan Lee, the resort company’s president and CEO, named the Fort Wayne area as a potential spot for relocation as far back in the past as 2017, according to Hannah News Service,” the TV station said.

A relocation requires approval from the 2025 Indiana Legislature.

The Rising Sun casino and resort opened as The Grand Victoria in 1996 and was bought by Full House Resorts in 2006 for $43 million.

What a wild ride for Rising Star Casino! If they’re really thinking about packing up and heading out of Rising Sun, that’ll be a major blow for the local scene. Actually, I am more into sports betting, you know. And here I found a good app that gives the opportunity to share your experience with peers, bet against them and get Rebet Coins. Or learn from your peers if you still have no betting skills. I find this strategy much safer than what I used to know before.
