Currently in eighth grade

(VEVAY, Ind.) –  A Switzerland County Middle School student has found a talent when it comes to running.

Madison Spillman started running in sixth grade and is now in the eighth grade.

She recently won the Vevay Media Group Middle School Girls Track Invitational.

She is also breaking multiple school records.

Spillman recently ran a 100 meter race in a time of 12.34. She also broke the school record in long jump with jump of 15 feet 8 inches.

What makes her accomplishments even more impressive, is her dedication both athletically and academically.

She has never gotten a grade lower than A on a report card, and is often willing to put in extra hours outside of practice to improve her talents at track.

Spillman isn’t the only Pacer finding success, as her team recently shattered the school record in the 400 meter relay with a time of 54.15. Other team members include Taylor Kappas, Larryssa Smith and Triniti Blevins.
