Search underway for missing West Harrison man

(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) -- Community members and law enforcement are hoping to find 50-year-old Roger Purcell.

He is from West Harrison and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office issued a Silver Alert Friday night.

Some community members have organized their own search, as they met at Rockdale United Methodist Church and searched local properties Saturday morning.

Purcell is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches, 250 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray cutoff tank top and white shorts.
