Severe weather threat Tuesday afternoon

The 812 will provide updates if weather becomes severe

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The second round of storms moving through our area has the ability to become severe. 

Forecasters say damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes are possible. 

Several local schools have dismissed students early due to the weather. 

Chad Gutzwiller with Weather Wave says it is an evolving situation but believes, as of now, the severe threat is lessening.

"It is a complicated scenario, but my confidence level has come down that we could see widespread thunderstorms that could become tornadic, with damaging winds and large hail, my confidence has come down on that," Gutzwiller said.
