WLWT anchors tour new television center
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- WLWT News 5 co-anchors Sheree Paolello and Mike Dardis surprised some students at Batesville Middle School on Tuesday.
The anchors visited the new television studio that was recently unveiled at the school.
Paolello and Dardis spoke at length with the students about their journalism careers while encouraging the kids to follow their passions.
Students asked about the challenging parts of reporting, what they enjoy most, and what advice Sheree and Mike have for those interested in a journalism career.
Dardis added that he enjoys speaking with young students as it is easy to forget how difficult the business can be.
“You forget about all the job rejections you got and how tough it was making $12,000 a year at my first job. So, when I have young people who want to get into the business, I want to be available for that,” Dardis said.
Be sure to watch WLWT News 5 at 6 p.m. tonight as Sheree and Mike plan to talk about their visit to Batesville.
