Family-owned Allstar cheerleading for kids age 3-18
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- Know a young girl that is interested in cheerleading?
Prodigy Cheer Athletics in Lawrenceburg are accepting registration for their upcoming season.
To be eligible for the program, the student must be at least 4-years-old by December 31, 2023 and they accept kids up to the age of 18.
The family-owned Allstar cheerleading program offers opportunities for all students as there is a team for everyone and no experience is necessary.
The program is led by Coach Lauren Vassuer-Manzi who was a cheerleader at Morehead State. She was on the national championship team and received multiple academic and athletics awards.
"I started coaching at a very young age and it was a dream of mine to open my own tumbling and cheerleading business locally," said the coach.
She has coached for 16 years and several former students have went on to obtain athletic scholarships.
Practices begin October 17 and are taught at the Dearborn County Adult Center as well as the Lawrenceburg Community Center.
"This year our athletes will have the opportunity to compete in the greater Cincinnati area, we will have multiple appearances in the community and have a performance in Lawrenceburg at the end of the season," coach Lauren added.
This year Prodigy Cheer Athletics has a booster club ran by Merinda Klopp to offset the fees associated with competition travel. Their first fundraiser will be on October 27 from 6-9 at the Dearborn County Adult Center.
