South Dearborn band starts fundraiser

Will help with equipment, travel

(AURORA, Ind.) — The South Dearborn Band is asking for community support.

They have launched a fundraiser to purchase new instruments, repair and maintain current instruments, and travel to competitions.

“All donors will be recognized for their generosity in our Spring Concert program,” said band director David Pallada.

Pallada created the fundraiser and students like Kelsie McMullen are stepping up to do their part.

McMullen is a sophomore who says the band program has played an important role in her life.

“Band means everything to me, I have made so many friends. I have also became much more independent and have learned to do a lot of things just by being in band,” McMullen said.

The band hopes to raise $7,000 and you can donate by visiting McMullen’s page by clicking here. The fundraiser deadline is March 1.
