(STANFORD, CA.) - South Dearborn graduate Katie Robinson has been named a Team USA assistant coach for an upcoming international swim meet.
Robinson currently serves as associate coach for Stanford University Women’s Swimming and Diving.
The 2003 South Dearborn graduate also has coaching experience at notable programs including Northwestern, Virginia, Rutgers and Tulane.
She will serve as a Team USA coach during the 2024 World Aquatics Short Course Championships in Hungary in December.
Robinson is currently serving her second season on staff for Stanford. In her first season, she helped guide Stanford to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships.
Robinson won six individual state championships while swimming for South Dearborn. She also set a state record in the 100-yard butterfly during her sophomore, junior and senior years.
She was also the recipient of the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award in 2002-2003.
