Special Olympics fire truck pull on Saturday

In partnership with Lawrenceburg Fire Department

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) -- The Special Olympics of Ripley, Ohio and Dearborn will host the annual fire truck pull in downtown Lawrenceburg Saturday.

Teams of 10 people will compete to pull a fully loaded fire truck weighing 50,000 pounds.

It’s the ultimate tug of war challenge and a great team building event. This event will also feature family attractions and fire safety displays/demonstrations.

Each team raises a minimum of $500 in pledges to see who can pull the fire truck 50 feet in the shortest amount of time.

The event starts at noon with the pull taking place around 2 p.m.
