(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The St. Lawrence Cross Country team had a big day at the South Dearborn Invitational on Saturday.
Eighth grader Sam Dennis is ranked in the top 20 statewide and has went undefeated season. He earned a trip to State on Saturday when he set a new course record at the invitational.
Other boys who earned a trip to state are James Pursell, Hayes Block and Wyatt Nickkell.
On the girls side, five St. Lawrence runners earned a trip to the state finals. The girls are Nora Block, Beckett Wagner, Shelby Lahey, Molly Lewis and Ella Kearns.
The Indiana Middle School Cross Country Championship will take place in Terre Haute on October 5.
